About

What do two people with a seemingly unlimited amount of money and free time on the weekends do with themselves? They go to the movies! For as long as I can remember I’ve been obsessed with the art that is moviemaking. My name is Jill by the way, and I am a Juniata College graduate (woot woot!) with a BA in Communications and History. When I met my BFF Ryan, a graduate of the University of Delaware (with BA in Political Science if you’re interested), we were both slinging Starbucks as baristas at Barnes & Noble.

Before long, we were having longwinded conversations about movies between orders of Java Chip Frappucinos and Skinny Vanilla Lattes. We knew we had to bring our awesomeness to the web, but the idea of a blog took a little while to flesh out…almost two years in fact. Now, we’ve hit the ground running, and are prepared to deliver all the insight and randomness about movies to you! We hope you enjoy our blog as much as we enjoy writing it and as always, we’ll see ya at the movies!

Profiles:

Jill Malcolm, co-founder

Favorite Movie: Goodfellas
Favorite movie theater snack: Junior Mints
Favorite movie-going experience: Twilight: New Moon at midnight showing. The fandom was insane and awesome.
Worst movie going-experience:  Babies. I dragged Ryan to this documentary because it looked adorable, and it was. Unfortunately, watching it with five grandmas behind us cooing and sighing every five seconds sucked.
Movie I wish I had written or directed: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Ryan Silberstein, co-founder

Favorite Movie: Ghostbusters
Favorite movie theater snack: Popcorn
Favorite movie-going experience:  Star Trek (2009): Seeing the movie with 20 Star Trek enthusiasts in a packed theater was a pretty epic experience.
Worst movie going-experience:  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 at midnight. They burned through the print with 20 minutes left. I thought that there’d be a riot. Part 2: 3 AM screening that turned into 3:30. So. Tired.
Movie I wish I had written or directed: 500 Days of Summer

List of Shame Fact!
Neither one of us has seen the Godfather movies in full. But we still love you Francis.

    • Yes, we know. We’ve both seen it in parts. And I think I have seen all of it, just not in one sitting. It’s a project for the near future.
